Boro Drops Match to Indiana (Pa.)

Box Score (New/Sortable Format) INDIANA, Pa. (Oct. 27, 2012) – The Edinboro University women's volleyball team dropped a match to Indiana (Pa.) 3-1 in a battle of PSAC West foes on Saturday afternoon at IUP's Kovalchick Complex.
 
Edinboro dropped the first set 25-19, but rallied to take the second set by the same score, 25-19.  With the match tied a one set apiece, the two teams battled past the 25-point mark in the third set, ultimately leading to a 26-24 IUP victory.  The Crimson Hawks rode that momentum to finish the match with a 25-15 fourth set victory.
 
Leading the way for the second game in a row was freshman Megan Branchick, who tallied 15 kills and two blocks.  Tabitha Meeks also had a good game, finishing with 12 kills and 10 digs.  Marah Maycock and Maria Concheck each had seven kills for the Fighting Scots with Maycock also contributing 12 digs and Concheck notching two blocks.  Katie Felix continued to set up the offense, racking up 27 assists during the match. 
 
Edinboro's tough road trip finishes this week as they head to Erie to take on Mercyhurst on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.  Their next home match is scheduled for next Saturday, Nov. 3 against Gannon.  That match will begin at 3 p.m.
