Box Score (New/Sortable Format) EDINBORO, Pa. (Oct. 6, 2012) – Edinboro swept visiting Cheyney 3-0 Saturday afternoon at McComb Fieldhouse. The Fighting Scots used strong defense and high-percentage attacks on offense to down the visiting Wolves by scores of 25-6, 25-4 and 25-10.
Edinboro (6-13, 4-4 PSAC West) finished set one on a 11-0 run to finish with a 25-6 win. Set two saw Edinboro continue that run, racing out to a 9-0 lead before bringing home a 25-4 victory. The Fighting Scots sealed the match in set three, finishing with a 25-10 win.
Statistically, Edinboro had a solid day from all players, hitting .403 as a team.
Marah Maycock had ten kills and a .533 (10/15) hitting percentage,
Breanna Gardner and
Megan Branchick each had six kills, with Branchick hitting .667 (6/9).
Tabitha Meeks and
Katie Felix each had five kills and
Maria Concheck added four.
