Volleyball Takes Match from Ursuline

Box Score (New/Sortable Format) PEPPER PIKE, OH (Nov. 6, 2012) – The Edinboro women's volleyball squad went on the road to Ursuline College and took care of business, winning 3-1 on Tuesday evening.  With the win, Edinboro improves to 9-22 on the season. 
 
Edinboro slammed Ursuline (6-29) early, grabbing the first two sets by the same score, 25-14.  Ursuline battled back in set three and was able to nab a 25-20 victory, sending the match to a fourth set.  In that fourth set, Edinboro was able to kill Ursuline's momentum from the third set and grit out a 25-23 victory.
 
Tabitha Meeks led Edinboro with 15 kills and eight digs.  Freshman Megan Branchick was right behind her with 11 kills and one block.  Marah Maycock and Erin Schatzle each had seven kills with Maycock collecting a team-high 17 digs.  Katie Felix and Schatzle each saw time at the setter position with Felix nabbing 22 assists and Schatzle finishing with 18.   
 
Edinboro returns home for its final two matches of the season on Friday and Saturday.  Friday's match will take place at 7 p.m. against Clarion and Saturday will start at 3 p.m. against Slippery Rock.
