FAIRMONT, WV. - Despite 19 kills and 32 digs from Marah Maycock, the Edinboro Fighting Scots volleyball squad dropped a pair of games Friday at the Fairmont State Falcon Fest volleyball tournament.  

This morning, Edinboro (0-2) got the day started against Shepherd (2-0) in the first match of the day.  The Fighting Scots dropped the first set 25-18 before coming back in the second set, ultimately falling just short and finishing with a tough 25-23 loss.  In the third set, Edinboro roared back to take a 25-19 victory, forcing a fourth set.  The young Scots battled through the fourth set, however it was not enough as Shepherd secured a 25-20 set victory and a 3-1 match win.  

The second match of the day saw the Fighting Scots take on West Virginia Wesleyan.  Edinboro hung right with the Bobcats in all three sets, but could not notch the victory in a 3-0 loss.  

Haley Marett had a good day tallying 35 total digs to compliment Maycock's solid performance.  Tabitha Meeks had 13 kills and 16 digs, and Kate Felix notched 29 assists on the day.  Nicole Brunot added 19 assists and 15 digs for the Fighting Scots.  

Edinboro finishes Falcon Fest tomorrow with two games, first against Seton Hill (0-1) at 10am and later against Fairmont State (1-0) at 6pm.
