EDINBORO, Pa. – The 2012 Fighting Scots volleyball squad is heading to Lock Haven and East Stroudsburg Friday and Saturday for the first PSAC Crossover of the season. Edinboro will play four PSAC East teams over the two day crossover, hoping to open conference play with a perfect record.
Edinboro (2-9, 0-0) starts at Lock Haven Friday morning with a match against Lock Haven (4-6, 0-0) at 11:30 a.m. They play once again at 5 p.m. against Millersville (6-4, 1-0) before travelling 139 miles further East down I-80 to East Stroudsburg for Saturday's matches.
Saturday begins with a match against East Stroudsburg (4-4, 1-0) at 10 a.m. Later in the day, Edinboro faces the Shippensburg Raiders (8-3, 0-0) in a tough match to finish the crossover.
Statistically, Edinboro is led by sophomore
Tabitha Meeks, who has compiled 110 kills, 40 digs, and six blocks through 11 matches. Freshman

Missy Soboleski's offense as she has tallied 88 kills, managed 119 digs, 12 service aces, and six blocks. The setting combination of

Erin Schatzle has produced 256 assists, averaging just over 23 per match. Defensively, Edinboro is led by sophomore libero
Haley Marett, who has 180 digs with a 4.3 digs per set average.
The young Fighting Scots squad has shown improvement of late, as they have won two of their last three. Last Tuesday, Edinboro defeated visiting Ursuline 3-2. This past Sunday, Edinboro travelled to South Euclid, Ohio to face Notre Dame (Oh.) and Le Moyne, losing to Le Moyne, but defeating Notre Dame.
Edinboro's next two home games are scheduled for Friday, September 28 at 7 p.m. against Indiana (Pa.) and Saturday, September 29 with a start time at 3 p.m.
