Volleyball Prepares For Puma Invite

RENSSELAER, IN – The Edinboro Fighting Scots volleyball squad is travelling to Indiana this weekend to battle four teams at the Puma Invitational.

Edinboro begins play today against Illinois-Springfield at 2pm and then faces Winona State in the nightcap at 6pm.  Saturday is an early start for the Fighting Scots as they battle with Walsh at 9am and finish the tournament with an 11am match against Saginaw Valley State.

Freshman Marah Maycock has had a solid first week of the season recording 34 kills and averaging 8.5 kills per match.  Sophomore Tabitha Meeks has notched 29 kills through four matches and freshman Maria Concheck has pitched in 16.

Katie Felix is leading the team in assists with 53 while Erin Schatzle is leading the team in assists per set with a 4.33 average.  Defensively, Edinboro is led by libero Haley Marett, who has 57 and Maycock, who has added 50.
