EDINBORO (Jan. 26, 2013) – Staci Schrecongost collected a pair of victories and added a pair of second-place finishes to lead Edinboro, but it was not enough as the Fighting Scots (6-3) dropped a meet to visiting Clarion (5-0) 141-118 on Saturday in McComb Fieldhouse.  

Schrecongost brought home victories in the 500 yard freestyle (5:13.25) and the 200 yard individual medley (2:14.05).  She also added a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 yard freestyle (1:55.40), and as a part of the 200 yard freestyle relay team that had a finishing time of 1:40.24. 

Alexis Berdine finished second in the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.04) and was the opening leg of the 200 yard medley relay that finished second (1:51.39).  Mackenzie Wargo collected a victory in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:09.95), a second in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:37.96), and was a part of the 200 yard medley relay with Berdine that finished second.  Mallory Waldinger was the other event winner for the Fighting Scots as she took first in the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 25.30. 

Other top finishers for Edinboro were Kayla Joy (1000 yard freestyle, 3^rd, 11:16.71), Jane Verdi (1000 yard freestyle, 4^th, 11:18.66; 500 yard freestyle, 3^rd, 5:28.01), Maria Tarbell (200 yard butterfly, 2^nd, 2:18.37; 100 yard butterfly, 2^nd, 1:01.07; 200 yard IM, 3^rd, 2:19.86).
