EDINBORO, Pa. – Academic excellence and championship-level performance once again went hand in hand for the Edinboro women's swimming & diving program, as
Lillian Dilts,
Cara Della-Toffalo,
Emma Beggs and
Eliza Miller were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
The honor recognizes student-athletes who combine strong performances in the pool with outstanding achievement in the classroom.
Dilts, a key sprint freestyler and butterfly specialist, capped off an impressive season with multiple wins in dual competition and played a major role at the PSAC Championships. She placed 17th in the 100-freestyle and helped power the school-record women's 400-freestyle relay, teaming with
Katelyn Reott,
Izzy Hanek and Miller to win the PSAC title in a record-setting 3:25.99. Dilts also contributed to a school-record performance in the 200-medley relay earlier in the meet.
Distance standout Della-Toffalo delivered consistent scoring for the Fighting Scots throughout the season, dominating the 500- and 1000-freestyle events in dual and conference competition. She captured wins at Westminster, Shippensburg, Allegheny and the PennWest Duals, including a season-best 11:14.85 in the 1000-freestyle, reinforcing the Scots' depth in distance events.
Beggs continued her steady rise among the PSAC's top breaststrokers. She earned an eighth-place finish in the 200-breaststroke at the PSAC Championships, while qualifying for multiple finals appearances throughout the year. Beggs posted several first-place finishes in the 200-breaststroke during the season and reached the podium at invitationals, while maintaining Academic All-District standards for the second straight year.
Miller, one of the PSAC's premier all-around swimmers, delivered a breakout championship performance in 2026. She placed third in the 500-freestyle at PSACs, reached the B-final in the 100-freestyle, and anchored two school-record relays, including the PSAC-winning 400-freestyle relay. Her versatility and consistency were instrumental as the Edinboro women finished fifth overall at PSACs.
Together, the quartet helped fuel a season defined by records, depth, and academic achievement – building on last year's foundation that saw Miller capture a PSAC championship in the 500-freestyle and multiple Scots establish themselves as conference contenders.
