York, Pa. –
Katelyn Reott won the PSAC Championship in the 50-freestyle highlighting the opening day of the PSAC Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center.
Reott swam a 23.03 in the finals to finishing over half a second ahead of the second-place finisher.
Izzy Hanek made the 50-Free B final finishing 10
th in 24.05.
Alexis Schrecongost also scored for the Scots in the 50 taking 21
st with a swim of 24.31.
Eliza Miller broke the Edinboro record in the 1,000-freestyle with a time of 10:29.28 placing fourth.
Peyton Koballa picked a scoring time of 11:06.22 placing 24
th.
Uxue Navarro was 21
st in the 200-IM with a swim of 2:12.41.
Emma Beggs touched the wall in 2:13.76 placing 23
rd.
The Edinboro women's 800-free relay team of Miller, Schrecongost, Hanek and Navarro were fourth in a time of 7:47.49.
On the men's side,
Rafael De Sousa was 12
th in the 1,000-free with a time of 9:55.54. The men's 800-free relay team of
Braden Hain,
Andrew Ketler,
Tyler Hill and De Sousa placed seventh in a time of 6:58.01.
With his preliminary swim in the 200-IM,
Caleb Ludlow tied for the fourth best time in Edinboro history at 1:56.33.
At the end of day one the Fighting Scot women are fifth with 138 points while the men are seventh with 29.
Swimming resumes on Thursday at 10 a.m. preliminaries with the Day Two finals beginning at 5:30 p.m.
