Edinboro Travels East for PSAC Crossover

The Fighting Scots volleyball team visits both Lock Haven and Pitt-Johnstown this weekend as part of the second PSAC Crossover event of the season. Edinboro takes on Millersville and host Lock Haven on Friday, Oct. 18, before taking a trip to Pitt-Johnstown for two conference matches against the Mountain Cats and Shippensburg on Saturday, Oct. 19. 

The Fighting Scots come into this weekend's event with a 13-9 overall record and a 5-4 mark in PSAC play. They enter Friday's match after a 3-2 defeat over Daemen on Tuesday night at McComb Fieldhouse, (25-21, 22-25, 15-25, 25-19, 15-11).
Edinboro ranks highly in the PSAC in several statistical categories. These include first in the conference in digs (1477), first in kills (1048), second in assists (929), and second in service aces (142).

Haley Marett paces all PSAC competitors with 465 digs on the season. Katie Felix ranks second in the conference with 663 assists. Megan Branchick leads the Fighting Scots with 208 kills on the year, closely followed by Marah Maycock with 207.

Edinboro faces four of the top five teams in the PSAC East division, as Pitt-Johnstown currently ranks atop the standings with a 7-2 record in conference play, while Shippensburg sits at second with a 6-3 mark.

The Fighting Scots posted a four-match sweep of their opponents in the last PSAC Crossover games on Sept. 27 and 28, with wins over West Chester, Cheyney, Kutztown and East Stroudsburg. The West division as a whole enjoyed much success over the PSAC East, compiling a 26-6 record in the first crossover.

Edinboro takes on Millersville at 2 p.m. and Lock Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Scots then battle Pitt-Johnstown at 12:30 p.m. and Shippensburg at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
