FREDONIA, NY - (October 26, 2013) – The Fighting Scots women's swimming team recorded a 145-91 victory over host Fredonia State on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in dual meet action. Edinboro broke three more pool records at the event, after breaking four on Friday night at the Westminster Relays.

The Edinboro 400-yard medley relay team consisting of Alexis Berdine, Holly Stein, Goezde Tekin, and Julie Moretti set a pool record in the event with a time of 3:59.23. Berdine recorded a new pool record in the 100-yard backstroke with a lead-off time of 59:70. This relay foursome also set a new pool record in the same event on Friday night at the Westminster Relays.

The Fighting Scot 400-yard freestyle relay team of Moretti, Staci Schrecongost, Tekin, and Berdine tabbed a new pool record as well with a time of 3:39.19.

Edinboro also posted first-place finishes in six other events, totaling eight wins of the 11 swimming events on the day.

These victories included Schrecongost in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:08.23) , Tekin in the 50-yard freestyle (25.16), Breanna Purnell in the 200-yard IM (2:18.18), Maria Tarbell in the 200-yard butterfly (2:18.16), Moretti in the 100-yard freestyle (55.07), and Rosati in the 500-yard freestyle (5:28.61).

The Fighting Scots return home on Friday, November 1, 2013 to host Malone. The meet is slated to begin at 6 p.m.
