EDINBORO, Pa. (November 14, 2013) – The Edinboro volleyball team squares off with PSAC foes Clarion on Friday night and Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon at McComb Fieldhouse in the final two contests of the 2013 season. The 16-18 Fighting Scots will look to reach the .500 mark with two victories this weekend.

She tallied 161 digs and 16 service aces in 2012 as a junior. Furda transferred to Edinboro from Division I Akron after the 2011 season. She appeared in 28 matches for the Zips, recording 138 digs and 38 assists in 2011.

Clarion enters Friday tied atop the PSAC West standings with California (Pa.). The Golden Eagles boast an impressive 30-2 overall record and a 19-1 mark in PSAC play. Their lone conference loss came at the hands of California (Pa.) on Oct. 4. The Golden Eagles have won seven straight matches since dropping a non-conference match to Wheeling Jesuit, 3-0.

Indiana (Pa.) comes into the weekend with a 12-20 ledger on the year, including an 8-12 record in the conference. The Crimson Hawks hold the sixth-place position in the PSAC West with a one-game lead over seventh-place Edinboro. Indiana (Pa.) faces off with Slippery Rock on Friday night before travelling to take on the Fighting Scots Saturday afternoon.

Megan Branchick fronts the Edinboro attack with 341 kills on the season, followed by Marah Maycock with 317 and Tabitha Meeks with 294. Haley Marett paces all PSAC players with 713 digs. Katie Felix leads the Fighting Scots with 1008 assists on the year, and Maria Concheck has 104 blocks for the Boro defense.

Despite the Scots sitting at seventh in the PSAC West Standings, the Scots pace all teams with 2124 digs on the year and rank second in the conference behind Clarion with 1556 kills.
