The Edinboro volleyball team starts PSAC play this weekend when they travel to Erie, Pa. for the PSAC Crossover. They play doubleheaders on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28 in what is their first games in the state of Pennsylvania in over two weeks.
The Fighting Scots came into the weekend 7-5 overall. On Friday, they play West Chester (8-0) at 2:00 p.m. and Cheyney (2-6, 0-1) at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, they face Kutztown (6-5) beginning at 12:30 p.m. and then East Stroudsburg (5-7, 1-0) at 3:30 p.m.
Edinboro has at least split matches in each of the three invitationals they have attended thus far. They lost each of their last two games, including a 3-0 loss (7-25, 21-25, 14-25) most recently to Wheeling Jesuit.
Haley Marett comes into the weekend third in the nation in digs per set. Her 6.42 digs per set currently leads the conference, while
Tabitha Meeks ranks seventh in the PSAC (4.51).
Tabitha Meeks and
Marah Maycock have each hit the century mark in kills with 113 and 109 respectively.
Katie Felix's 7.70 assists per set is ninth in the PSAC and Marett's 0.48 service aces per set is also ninth in the conference.
