CLARION, Pa. – The Edinboro volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season Friday afternoon, 3-1 to Ohio Dominican. The Scots dropped the first two sets by identical scores of 25-18, before winning the third set 25-20.
The Panthers fought back, winning the fourth game by a score of 25-18 once again, capturing the win. The match was part of the Tony Banner Invitational hosted by Clarion University.
Despite the loss, Megan Branchick posted a notable 15 kills, while Katie Felix dished out 26 assists on the afternoon.
Haley Marett paced the Edinboro defensive effort with 17 digs. Marah Maycock and Jill Glover also recorded 13 and 10 digs, respectively.
Edinboro falls to 1-1 on the season, while Ohio Dominican improves to 1-0.
The Fighting Scots will be back in action tomorrow, Saturday September 7th to play Concord in day two of the Tony Banner Invitational at Clarion.
