PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Edinboro women's swimming team capped a busy weekend with a 98-61 win over Lake Erie in the first dual meet for the Fighting Scots. The meet took place at the Spire Institute after the Fighting Scots competed in the Westminster Relays last night.
 
Staci Schrecongost picked up a pair of individual wins to lead the way, touching first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.28, plus a first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.55.
 
Holly Stein and Morgan Joseph added a win plus a first place as part of the 200-yard medley relay. Breanna Furnell and Megan Gaza completed the foursome in the relay. Stein won the 50-yard freestyle (25.93), while Joseph came in first in the 100-yard freestyle (55.64).
 
Edinboro will return to action next Saturday, November 1 hosting Tiffin. The meet gets underway at 1 p.m. at McComb Fieldhouse.
