Edinboro-Bloomsburg MeetEDINBORO, Pa. (November 8, 2014) - The Edinboro women's swimming team lost a home match to Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon 148-114.
Staci Schrecongost paced the Fighting Scots with four victories on the day. Edinboro is now 2-1 on the women's side and overall while Bloomsburg improves to 2-1 overall and 3-0 from the women.
Schrecongost notched a victory in the 200 yard freestyle (1:56.37) and 100 yard freestyle (54.96). The senior also teamed with
Morgan Joseph,
Holly Stein,
Breanna Purnell for a victory in the 200 yard medley relay (1:51.99) and then with Joseph, Purnell, and
Megan Gaza for a win in the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:42.37).
Stein also added wins in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:08.17) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:27.08).
Mary Rosati was the only other Fighting Scot to pick-up a win, finishing the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 5:26.21.
Edinboro will get back into the pool next Friday, November 14 at Allegheny College. That meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
