(September 20, 2014) – The Edinboro women's volleyball team ran its winning streak to nine matches in a row with a pair of lopsided wins while competing in PSAC Crossover action at Cheyney on Saturday. The Fighting Scots won in three games over the host Wolves, 25-11, 25-7, 25-13, then handed Kutztown a similar defeat by scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-15. Edinboro improved to 11-2 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC, while Cheyney is 1-7 and 0-2, respectively, and Kutztown 5-5 and 0-4.
Head coach
Missy Soboleski was able to substitute liberally in the win over Cheyney, and in fact sat several starters, with
Jill Glover leading the way with 10 kills and a .562 hitting percentage.
Maria Concheck added 8 kills, along with 5 service aces.
Katie Felix had 11 assists with
Sydney Trathen showing nine.
Taylor Palowski had a team-high 8 digs.
Trathen led the Fighting Scots with 9 kills and 13 assists against Kutztown.
Marah Maycock added 8 kills.
Haley Marett had 20 digs, while
Challen Litwiler finished with 6 service aces.
Edinboro is back in action on Friday, September 26 playing at Mercyhurst at 7 p.m.
