CALIFORNIA, Pa. (November 14, 2015) – The Edinboro University volleyball team concluded its regular season on Saturday afternoon falling in the fifth set to California (Pa.) by scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 16-25 and 15-2. The Fighting Scots finish the regular season with a 30-5 overall record and an 18-4 record in the PSAC. Cal has now won eight straight and clinched the fourth seed in the PSAC West, setting up a rematch on Tuesday night between the two teams.
This is the first time since 2010 that Edinboro has won 30 games in a season and just the sixth time in program history.

Challen Litwiler led the Edinboro offense with a team-high 12 kills apiece. Litwiler has totaled 461 kills this season, the tenth highest total in single-season history. Senior
Maria Concheck totaled 10 kills with a .391 hitting percentage in the match. Sophomore
Sydney Trathen paced the Fighting Scots attack with 39 assists.

Hannah Cantrill recorded career-highs in digs as well with 16 and 14, respectively. Severo paced the squad with four block assists and a block solo.
The Edinboro volleyball team returns home to McComb Fieldhouse for a home PSAC playoff game on Tuesday, November 17 at 7 p.m. The top-seeded Fighting Scots host fourth-seeded Cal in the two teams third meeting of the season. The season series was split 1-1.
