ResultsBLOOMSBURG, Pa. (November 21, 2015) – The Edinboro university women's swimming team pulled out three victories Saturday as they fell to PSAC foe Bloomsburg by a score of 118-76.
Freshman
Anastasiia Semkiv took first place in the 50 yard freestle with a time of 25.33.
Junior
Holly Stein and sophomore
Emily Kling finished first and second, respectively, in the 100 yard backstroke. Stein clocked in at 1:06.82 while Kling timed in at 1:13.60.
The quartet of
Morgan Joseph,
Breanna Purnell,
Charlotte Drozda, and
Casey Tokarski took the top spot in the 200 yard freestyle relay at a time of 1:43.37. Right behind them were the Edinboro foursome of
Natalie Gilley,
Kara Thorp,
Jenna O'Dell, and
Kelsey Albrecht with a time of 1:52.47.
Joseph, Stein, Purnell, and Semkiv teamed up to take second place in the 200 yard medley relay, clocking in at 1:52.66, just missing the first-place mark by 3.5 seconds.
Purnell took a second-place finish in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:16.71, just off the pace set by Bloomsburg's Nikki Young by 2.29 seconds.
The Edinboro women hit the water again at the Wooster Invitational on December 3 to 5, 2015.
