EDINBORO, Pa. (September 30, 2015) – The Edinboro University volleyball team is back in PSAC action this weekend hosting two PSAC opponents. The action gets underway Friday, October 2 against PSAC West preseason favorite Clarion, followed by a Saturday, October 3 meeting with Indiana(Pa.). The Fighting Scots enter the weekend winners of 11 of their last 12 games and 14-2 overall, including a 3-1 mark in PSAC play.
Clarion enters the contest 8-7 overall and 4-0 in PSAC play. The match will get underway at 7 p.m. in McComb Fieldhouse. Indiana (Pa.) is currently 11-2 overall and 4-0 in PSAC play. That match starts at 3 p.m. This marks the conclusion of a three-game homestand for the Fighting scots, who played their first home match of the season on Tuesday. Edinboro handed Daemen a 3-0 defeat.
Sophomore
Challen Litwiler leads the Fighting Scots and the PSAC with 234 kills. She is also leading the PSAC in service aces with 35. Junior
Victoria Severo enters the weekend ranking second on the team with 139 kills, while also ranking third in the PSAC in hitting percentage (.356). Sophomore
Sydney Trathen is pacing the Fighting Scots' attack with a PSAC-leading 576 assists.
Senior
Marah Maycock leads the Fighting Scots defensively with a team-high 234 digs, while Litwiler ranks second with 197. Severo has totaled a team-high 49 total blocks. Trathen and senior
Latoya Hutchinson are tied with a team-high nine block solos.
Freshman
Megan Screptock is contributing on both sides of the court, ranking third on the team in both kills (100) and digs (147).
