EDINBORO, Pa. (January 9, 2016) – Edinboro seniors Charlotte Drozda and Cheyenne Kressley were honored as part of Senior Day Saturday before the women's swimming team took a 108-97 PSAC win over Shippensburg at McComb Fieldhouse.
 
Holly Stein and Breanna Purnell each had three victories in Edinboro's home finale while Morgan Joseph and Mary Rosati each posted two wins.
 
The Edinboro quartet of Morgan Joseph, Holly Stein, Breanna Purnell, and Casey Tokarski took first in the 200 yard medley relay at 1:52.57, winning by .74 seconds. Joseph and Purnell later teamed up with Drozda and Rosati to win the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.23, taking the relay by .4 seconds.
 
Stein took the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:15.86 and then grabbed a victory in the 100 yard breaststroke, timing in at 1:07.24.
 
Purnell took a victory in the 100 yard butterfly at a pace of 1:00.51.
 
Rosati placed first in the 1000 yard freestyle, clocking in at 11:05.76. She then won the 500 yard freestyle at a time of 5:28.17.
 
Edinboro women's swimming will hit the water again next Saturday when they travel to take on Tiffin at 1:00 p.m.
