EDINBORO, Pa. (Feb. 27, 2016) –
Henri Wade-Chatman scored 24 points but, but unfortunately it was in the his final appearance at Edinboro as Clarion rallied for an 83-69 win at McComb Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon in a PSAC Tournament First Round game. Edinboro, the third seed, sees its season come to an end at 15-11, while sixth-seeded Clarion now moves on to play at second-seed Mercyhurst on Tuesday, March 1 with a 14-15 ledger.
Quinn Lee Yaw had a career-high 10 rebounds.Edinboro played a strong first half, leading 40-32 after twenty minutes. The Fighting Scots would lead by as many as 13 points at 34-21 with 3:12 to play on
Mikael Anderson's layup. With leading scorers Wade-Chatman and
Jaymon Mason both on the bench with two fouls, the Golden Eagles closed the gap to eight points.
Clarion opened the second half with the first five points to knot the score at 40-40. Edinboro answered with the next six points, including a rare four-point play by Wade-Chatman for a 46-40 advantage.
The Golden Eagles would not fold, however. They went on a 12-2 run behind nine points by rob Agurs to take a 52-48 lead with 14:00 remaining. Another Wade-Chatman three cut the gap to a point, but Clarion took control of the contest with a 17-2 run over the next nine minutes.
While Clarion made six of its next nine shots, the Fighting Scots made just one of ten shots during the same stretch, and even went 0-for-3 at the line. The Fighting Scots found themselves trailing, 69-53, with 5:16 remaining. Edinboro would pull no closer than 11 points on three occasions the rest of the way.
Clarion would outscore Edinboro, 51-29, in the second half, shooting a sizzling 62.5 percent (15-of-24), including 6-of-9 3-pointers. The Fighting Scots made just 9-of-32 shots (28.1 pct.) and were 4-for-15 on 3-pointers.
Edinboro ended the game shooting 32.8 percent (21-of-64), making 9-of-30 3-pointers and 18-of-28 free throws. Clarion finished at 49.1 percent from the floor (26-of-53), and was even better on 3-pointers at 10-of-18, and went 21-of-27 at the charity stripe. Edinboro held a 42-35 advantage on the glass, including 20 offensive rebounds.
Tommy Scales finished with 10 points.Wade-Chatman led Edinboro with his 24 points, concluding a brilliant three-year career with 1,397 points in just 79 games. The senior guard finished ninth in career scoring and scored 530 points this season, 14th all-time.

Tommy Scales was the only other Fighting Scot in double digits with 10 points, adding eight rebounds.
Jaymon Mason, who came in as the second-leading scorer in the PSAC, could never get going, making just 2-of-12 shots and finishing with seven points, matching his season-low. The sophomore guard did play a strong floor game with six assists and just one turnover. He finished the season with 542 points, the 11th-highest season total. He now has 934 points in just two season.
Quinn Lee Yaw pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds to lead Edinboro.
Andre' Anthony led Clarion with 24 points, making 6-of-11 3-pointers. Agurs added 23 points and 11 rebounds, while BJ Andrews contributed 13 points.
