Fighting Scots Travel to Indiana(Pa.) For PSAC Quarterfinals

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoff field is set, with the Edinboro women's volleyball team set to travel Indiana(Pa.) on Tuesday, November 14 in a PSAC Tournament quarterfinal match. The Fighting Scots finished the regular season as the eighth seed after going 21-9 overall and 10-8 in the Northwest Division.

Edinboro is coming off winning eight of their final 10 PSAC matches, the last three being five-sets.

Edinboro is making its third straight PSAC Tournament appearance and ninth under head coach Missy Soboleski. The Fighting Scots face an IUP team which finished first in the Southwest Division with a 10-8 record, and is 19-10 overall.

The Crimson Hawks earned the No. 1 seed after posting a 15-3 PSAC mark and 24-8 overall. Indiana(Pa.) will be led by Katie Miller, who leads the league in assists per set with 11.13 while Natalie Cignetti paces the PSAC with 4.40 kills per set.
Indiana(Pa.). defeated the Fighting Scots, 3-0, in their only match up of the season on October 13. This is a rematch of the quarterfinals from a year ago in which the Crimson Hawks defeated Edinboro, 3-1, at McComb Fieldhouse   
 
The semifinals will take place Friday, Nov. 18 at 5 & 7:30 with the title match scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19 at a time to be determined.
