BLOOMSBURG, Pa. –
Katelyn Kopacko, and
Yana Miletska each won an event at Bloomsburg on Friday, as the Edinboro women's swimming team fell, 131-71 at the Nelson Field House Pool. With the loss, the Fighting Scots fall to 0-2 on the season, while the Huskies are now 1-2.
The three Fighting Scots were among five different Edinboro swimmers posting PSAC Championship qualifying times.
Kopacko and Miletska each qualified for the PSAC Championships in two different events, respectively. Kopacko finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a PSAC qualifying time of 24.65, and came in second place in the 100-yard freestyle at 55.53. As for Miletska, she won the 200-yard IM with a PSAC qualifying mark of 2:11.68, and placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:07.21.
Dundon captured second place in the 200-yard freestyle with a qualifying time of 2:00.02.
Jessie Bliss and
Casey Tokarski also qualified on the night. Bliss finished in fourth place in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:02.09, while Tokarski took fifth in the 50-yard freestyle at 25.86.
The Fighting Scots will compete on Friday, November 10, and Saturday, November 11, in Meadville, Pa., at the Gator Invite, hosted by Allegheny College.
