The Fighting Scots were finally eliminated in the championship match by Wheeling Jesuit.

Soboleski welcomes back a number of key performers, led by seniors Challen Litwiler and Sydney Trathen. Trathen, a three year starter at setter, is a two-time All-PSAC and All-AVCA Atlantic Region selection. She enters the season ranked fourth in career assists at Edinboro with 3,364. A year ago, she ranked third in the PSAC with 1,177 assists.

Litwiler led the team in digs (442) and service aces (41) a year ago, and was third in kills with 326.

The Fighting Scots will also rely greatly on junior outside hitter Megan Screptock. She battled a late-season injury in 2016, but still finished with 199 kills and 296 digs. She was the 2015 PSAC West Freshman of the Year.
