EDINBORO, Pa. - The Edinboro women's swimming team honored one senior on Friday night, as the Fighting Scots fell in a 107-98 loss to Clarion. The loss dropped Edinboro to 2-4 overall and 1-4 in the PSAC, while Clarion improved to 4-2 on the year with a 4-1 conference mark.
Prior to the meet, four Edinboro swimmers were honored as part of Senior Day prior to the event. Morgan Joseph was the lone senior swimmer on the women's side.
Yana Miletska, Sydney Dundon and Katelyn Kopacko each led Edinboro with two wins on the night. Miletska won two individual events, including the 200-yard IM with a PSAC qualifying time of 2:15.03, and the 200-yard breaststroke with a qualifying mark at 2:30.10. Both Dundon and Kopacko teamed up with Jessie Bliss and Kaitlyn Daiger to win the 400-yard freestyle at 3:39.61.
Dundon also won the 100-yard freestyle with a conference qualifying time of 54.51, while Kopacko ended the 50-yard freestyle in first place, and qualifying for the PSAC Championships at 24.07.
Daiger and Casey Tokarski each qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 50-yard freestyle. Tokarski finished in third place at 25.56, and Daiger came in fourth place with a time of 25.60.
Edinboro will start to prepare for the PSAC Championships, which take place February 21-24 at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa.
