INDIANA, Pa. – Head coach Chris Rhodes began his 18th year at the helm of the Edinboro men's and women's swimming teams on Friday night, as the Fighting Scots opened the season with a dual at Indiana(Pa.). The Crimson Hawks would defeat the Edinboro women's team, 133-71, to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

Yana Miletska won the 200-yard breaststroke with a PSAC qualifying time of 2:29.77. She also qualified in the 200-yard IM and 200-yard butterfly. The junior finished in second place in each event, posting a time of 2:15.85 in the IM and 2:14.97 in the butterfly.

Junior Katelyn Kopacko picked up her first win of the season in the 50-yard freestyle with conference qualifying mark at 24.44.

Senior Casey Tokarski posted a second-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, qualifying at 2:14.17.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team made up of Katelyn Kopacko, Casey Tokarski, Rachel Roscoe, and Kaitlyn Daiger finished in second place by just .22 seconds with a time of 1:40.48.

Kara Miller finished second in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:30.42. Nicole Kadlecik also posted a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.41.

The Fighting Scots will return to action on Friday, November 2, hosting Bloomsburg in the home opener. That meet will get underway at 6 p.m. at McComb Fieldhouse.
