ERIE, Pa. -- Playing matches in back to back days did not help the Edinboro women's tennis team as they fell on the road to Mercyhurst, 9-0. The Fighting Scots fell to 8-9 on the season and 2-2 in the PSAC. 

The Lakers got things started sweeping through doubles. Roxana Yeh and Marija Tmusic put up a fight, but fell to Adriana Jeffress and Kayla Frost at number two doubles, 8-3.

In singles, No. 18 Saioa Gomez de Segura won over Laura Lopez, 6-2, 6-2 at the top singles spot. The Fighting Scots looked to Tmusic at number five singles after she dropped the first set 7-5, but ultimately fell in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. 

Edinboro will play its third match in three days when they host Indiana(Pa.), the top ranked team in the Atlantic Region, on Thursday, April 12 at 4:00 p.m.
