The only common opponent is Rider. Cleveland State fell 33-5 to the Broncs while the Fighting Scots dropped a 25-11 dual on January 12.
- First-year head coach Matt Hill, a former Edinboro standout, faces a rebuilding year after five national qualifiers transferred following the departure of head coach Tim Flynn to West Virginia. - Last weekend, the Fighting Scots dropped their first two EWL duals of the season on the road at Bloomsburg and Rider. The following evening at Rider, the Fighting Scots dropped a 25-11 dual to Broncs. Jacob Oliver (174 lbs.), Dylan Reynolds (197 lbs.), and Jon Spaulding won both of their matches to open their EWL records at 2-0.
- Jacob Oliver (174 lbs.) has improved to 21-4 on the season after the two duals last weekend. This season as a redshirt freshman, Oliver has seven major decisions and four technical falls. He won the PSAC championship, Michigan State Open (fresh./soph.) and the Journeyman Northeast Open (174C) titles at 174 lbs. this season. He has also finished second at the Navy Classic.
- Dylan Reynolds leads the team this season in wins (23). The redshirt junior won the 197 lb. title at the Journeyman Northeast Open while finishing third at the PSAC Championships, fifth at the Michigan State Open, and sixth at the Southern Scuffle.
- Cleveland State (3-5, 0-2 EWL) has dropped their last three duals on the season including a pair of losses to EWL opponents in George Mason (26-19) and Rider (33-5) along with a non-conference matchup against Columbia (23-12). After opening the season with a pair of losses to Buffalo State and Bucknell, the Vikings rallied off three straight duals wins against Virginia Military Institute (35-8), Otterbein (47-6), and John Carroll (33-5).

HEAD COACH
EDINBORO -- Matt Hill (Edinboro '07, 1st Season) assumed the role of head wrestling coach at Edinboro University on May 18, 2018. The former Edinboro standout became the 12th head coach of the wrestling program, and fourth on the Division I level. Hill is no stranger to the Edinboro wrestling program. He competed for former head coach Tim Flynn from 2002-07, then entered the coaching profession. He served as a graduate assistant coach at Kent State from 2007-09. Following his two seasons as a graduate assistant, Hill remained involved in wrestling over the next year, working with Seneca Valley High School. He returned to Kent State as an assistant coach in 2010, and served in that capacity until 2015, when he was appointed associate head coach to head coach Jim Andrassy. During Hill's tenure at KSU as a graduate assistant and full-time assistant, the Golden Flashes went 116-78 in dual meets while enjoying several of the best seasons in program history. The 2015-16 KSU squad finished at 15-3 and was 16th at the NCAA National Championships, while the Golden Flashes were 14-5 in 2011-12 and 14-6 in 2010-11. In addition, Hill assisted in the development of three University National Champions and four Junior FILA National Freestyle All-Americans. Hill was a three-time national qualifier at Edinboro. He remains among the leading wrestlers all-time at Edinboro with a 105-42 career record, including a 32-7 record as a senior. In 2006-07 as a senior, he went 17-1 in dual meets while competing at 157 lbs. Hill was seeded 12th at nationals and posted a 2-2 record.
