Fighting Scots Wrap Up Day Two at Auburn Tournament with Loss to Tigers

AUBURN, Ala. – Despite 13 points from Jacob Spillers and 10 from Chayse Wolf, the Edinboro wheelchair basketball team fell to Auburn in the Auburn Tournament. The Tigers sent the Fighting Scots to their third straight loss by a 51-34 score. Edinboro dropped to 13-8 with the loss.

Auburn jumped out to a 30-16 lead at the half as the Fighting Scots could make just 7-of-28 shots (25.0 pct.). Auburn, meanwhile, came in at 50.0 percent (13-of-26) and closed the half on a 12-3 run.

Edinboro would pull no closer than 12 points in the second half. The Fighting Scots would end the day shooting 32.7 percent (16-of-49) while Auburn came in at 47.8 percent (22-of-46).

Spillers made 6-of-9 field goals, including 1-of-2 3-pointers, adding five rebounds. Wolf had a team-high seven rebounds along with seven assists. Will Speed pulled down six rebounds.
