Fighting Scots in Search of 3-0 Start at Bloomsburg

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swimming team will look to remain undefeated when it dips into the pool at Bloomsburg on Friday, November 1. The Fighting Scots and Huskies will square off at 6:00 p.m.

Edinboro has opened the season with wins over Indiana(Pa.) (110-95) and Tiffin (80-22). Bloomsburg, meanwhile, is 1-2, with a win over Susquehanna plus losses to West Chester and Lehigh. A year ago, the Huskies won a close meet, 104-97.

The Fighting Scots have received outstanding performances from a number of swimmers. Katelyn Kopacko recorded an NCAA B time in the 50-yard freestyle against IUP, while winning three times against both IUP and Tiffn.

Yana Miletska and Paige Smith also recorded three wins in each meet. Makayla Scheu, meanwhile, has won a total of five events. Smith and Scheu are both freshmen.

In the IUP meet, seven different swimmers recorded PSAC-qualifying marks as Edinboro won eight events. Five swimmers post PSAC-qualifying times at Tiffin.
