Fighting Scots Suffer Narrow 4-3 Setback to Daemen

ERIE, Pa. – The Edinboro women's tennis team will look to pick up win number on the season on Saturday after suffering a narrow 4-3 loss to Daemen at Westwood Racquet Club on Friday night. Now 0-3 on the young season, the Fighting Scots will host Davis & Elkins on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Daemen is now 1-12.

The two teams split the first two doubles matches, with the duo of Laura Lopez and Jelena Vucenovic prevailing 6-3 at number one doubles. Daemen would pick up the point in doubles play with a forfeit win at number three doubles.

The teams would split the six singles matches, with Lopez winning 6-3, 6-4 at number one singles and Tatiana Batalla posting a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at number two singles.

Hannah Brentar, who is a member of the volleyball team, as well, picked up her first career win, a 7-5, 2-6, 10-2 triumph at number five singles.
