HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- Playing under NCAA Division III rules, the Edinboro women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to NAIA opponent Walsh (Fla.). Div. III rules allow for every match played to count with the point total as a best of nine instead of the Div. II best of seven. Tatiana Batalla Trabal was a double winner for Edinboro, winning in both singles and doubles.

Batalla Trabal teamed with Jelena Vucenovic for a 6-3 win over Andrea Silva and Marla Montoya at the top doubles spot. She followed that up with a straight sets win over Paula Ordonez, 6-1, 6-1 at number two doubles. 

The Fighting Scots hit the court again on Monday, March 4 when they take on West Liberty at 4:30 p.m.
