Box Score (New/Sortable Format) HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- The weather was not cooperating with the Edinboro women's tennis team as they fell 5-2 to West Liberty in a rain delayed match on Tuesday evening. The match was originally scheduled for 8:30 a.m., but due to weather in the area, the match was pushed back until 6:00 p.m, nearly 10 hours later. The match is part of the team's annual Spring Break trip.

The Hilltoppers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after they swept through the doubles matches. Tatiana Batalla Trabal and Jelena Vucenovic dropped a close match, 7-5 at the top doubles spot to Raissa Wagner and Anita Panti. 

In singles, Laura Lopez won a close first set over Wagner at number one singles before picking up a shutout in the second set for the 7-5, 6-0 win pulling the Fighting Scots back within one at 2-1. Batalla Trabal even the match for Edinboro with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Panti. However, West Liberty would pick up wins at three through five singles to come away with the 5-2 win.

Edinboro (0-8) will return to the court in the morning when they take on Clarion in a non-conference match up at 8:30 a.m.
