GAMEDAY MEDIA CENTER HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Edinboro took the opening kickoff and drove 65 yards on 10 plays, with Andrew Tomko doing most of the damage. The redshirt junior quarterback ran three times for 34 yards and completed three passes for 30 yards. The last was a swing pass in the left flat to Dorian Woody, with the freshman going seven just inside the left pylon for his first collegiate six-pointer. Vicente Arraigada drilled the extra point for a 7-0 lead.
  • The Fighting Scots put together another impressive drive early in the second quarter to go up 14-0. This one covered 74 yards on 11 plays and ate up almost five minutes. Tomko again played a major role in the drive, running or passing on eight of the 11 plays. The last was a 19-yard scramble for a touchdown, as he evaded the rush to the left and went down the left sideline to convert on a 2nd-and-14 play.
  • Bloomsburg would close the gap to 14-6 late in the first half thanks to a bad punt snap. The Huskies would take over at the EU 10 and needed just two plays, both rushes by Qmar Quiteh, to score with 1:58 left in the half. He scored an eight-yard run. Myles Turner would block Cameron Shollenberger's extra point.
  • The Huskies cut the lead to 14-13 on the opening drive of the second half courtesy of a nine-play, 55-yard drive that was aided by a penalty to start the drive. A 36-yard pass from Logan Leiby to Michael Allen gave the Huskies first-and-goal at the EU 10. Three plays later Leiby hooked up with Duffy Gilhool on a 12-yard scoring pass after Quiteh had been throw for a four-yard loss the play before.
  • Edinboro needed just four plays and less than two minutes to boost the lead back to eight points at 21-13. Tomko hooked up with Ta'Nauz Gregory for a 61-yard strike and came up just short of the end zone, being pushed out at the two-yard line. He picked up an excellent block from Andre Dowdell Jr. Tomko scored his second touchdown of the day on the next play on a two-yard run, and Arriagada's extra point gave Edinboro a 21-13 lead with 7:49 to play.

Freshman linebacker Saige Ley threw Quiteh for a six-yard loss on first down, and Leiby was sacked by Tarique Smith for a loss of 13 yards on second down. Following an incomplete pass, Shollenberger's 39-yard field goal attempt was wide left with just over six minutes remaining.
  • Edinboro would take over at its own 22 yard line. The Fighting Scots suffered a holding penalty on the possession and failed to gain a first down. Forced to punt, Allen gathered in Corey Badarocco's punt at his own 35, stepped through a pair of tackles and went 65 yards for a the winning touchdown and a 24-21 lead with 4:50 remaining.
