Edinboro Defeats Gannon on Senior Night

EDINBORO, Pa. – On senior night, the Edinboro women's swimming team defeated Clarion 130-82. Edinboro honored seniors Katelyn Kopacko, Kaitlyn Daiger, Yana Miletska, and Melia Andrulonis before the meet. The Fighting Scots are now 4-1 while Gannon is 2-5.

Kopacko and Miletska placed first in three events while Daiger placed first in two events. Kopacko recorded a time of 24.05 in the 50-yard freestyle while her other two wins came from two relay races. Miletska posted a time of 4:44.99 in the 400-yard IM, 59.97 in the 100-yard butterfly, and 1:07.24 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The Fighting Scots placed first in the 200-yard medley relay. The foursome of Lena Mitcho, Kopacko, Daiger, and Makayla Schue combined for a winning time of 1:50.48. Scheu, Daiger, Nicole Kadlecik, and Kopacko placed first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.18.

In addition, Paige Smith placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:20.46 and 5:30.05 in the 500-yard freestyle.
