EDINBORO, Pa. – Edinboro's marquee wrestling match of the season drew a good crowd to McComb Fieldhouse on Friday night, many in the maize and blue, but the Fighting Scots were unable to upset a Michigan team that came in tied for 21st in the latest NWCA Division I Top 25 rankings. Michigan would hand the Fighting Scots a 33-5 defeat.

The 141 lbs. bout was decided by four nearfall points in the second period, as Michigan's Cole Mattin (14-11) won a 6-0 decision over Nate Hagan (10-8). Hagan was returning to the lineup after missing over a month with an injury.

Cody Mulligan (16-11) followed with an 8-7 decision over JT Correll. A back-and-forth first period saw Mulligan record two takedowns for a 5-3 lead. The two traded reversals in the second period, with a late Correll escape making it 7-6 after two periods.
