Binghamton, N.Y. – The Edinboro wrestling team dropped a pair of matches Friday afternoon to North Dakota State and host Binghamton.
The Scots fell 34-9 in the opener to North Dakota State and finished the day dropping a 29-12 decision to host Binghamton.
In the opener, the Bison jumped out toe a 22-0 lead after the dual started at the 141-pound weight class.
Ethan Ducca broke the North Dakota State run with a 3-2 decision at 184. NDSU earned wins at 197 and 285 before
Logan Jaquay took a forfeit for Edinboro at 125.
Against Binghamton,
Gabe Willochell got the match started at 141 with a tech fall over Michael Zarif. Binghamton would take the next four bouts to build a 13-5 advantage.
Ducca picked up another 3-2 decision to trim the lead to 13-8. The Bearcats earned wins in the next two bouts to extend the lead to 23-8. Jaquay posted a 10-1 major decision to trim the lead to 23-12. Binghamton scored a fall at 133 to set the final.
The Scots are back in action on Dec. 21 when they host Kent State at 1 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse.
