Fairfax, Va. – Gabe Willochell recorded a fall at 141, but the Edinboro wrestling team dropped a 22-12 decision to George Mason in MAC dual action Sunday afternoon.
 
George Mason pulled out to a 6-0 lead with decisions at 125 and 133. Willochell needed just 1:52 in the first period to earn the fall and level the team score at 6-6.
 
Alex Madrigal and Avery Basset each scored decisions for the Patriots to make it 12-6 for George Mason.
 
Trailing 5-4 in the third period, Dylan Kohn notched a takedown to go ahead 6-5. Tyler Kocak scored the escape to send the match to sudden victory. An aggressive Kohn needed just 12 seconds to earn the takedown and an 8-6 decision.
 
The Scots final win of the afternoon came at 197. Cody Mulligan scored a second period takedown and a third period escape to take home a 4-1 decision with riding time over Jon List.
 
Edinboro is back in action with a home match on Friday against Central Michigan. Wrestling is slated to start at 7 p.m.
