Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro wrestling team put together 13 bouts as they competed in their annual wrestle offs Thursday night.
At 125, transfer
Aiden Lewis put together a pair of wins topping
Eamonn Jimenez 8-3 in the opening match of the night before topping
Chris Merlot 8-0 in the 125 final.
Logan Jaquay topped Nick Schaukowitsch 6-0 in the first match at 133 before falling to returning starter
Cameron Soda 10-6.
In the lone match at 141, Ammon Ohl earned an 8-0 major decision over
Zach Soda.
Jacob Pail started off 149 with a 10-2 major over
Gannon Jaquay.
Ryan Burgos posted an 8-1 victory over Pail in the final.
At 157,
Luke Kemerer topped Andrew Pokalsky 16-5 in the opening match and finished the night with an 8-2 decision over
Sully Allen in the final.
In a back-and-forth match at 165,
Alex Garee scored a late takedown to top
Max Kirby 9-8.
Jared McGill earned the victory in the only match at 174 defeating
Joey Arnold 9-1.
Nick Lodato topped fellow freshman
Kade Sottolano via fall at 5:57. In the final, Lodato and
Max Millin were deadlocked at 1-1 before Lodato earned a takedown off a scramble with seven seconds left to take home the 3-1 win.
