Women’s Tennis Slides Past Seton Hill, 4-3

Latrobe, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's tennis won a close one on Saturday afternoon as they defeated PSAC West opponent Seton Hill 4-3. With the win, Edinboro improves to (11-8) overall and (3-3) in the PSAC. 

Edinboro initially fell behind early in doubles play as Seton Hill clinched the doubles point. Out of the three doubles matches, the Fighting Scots only came away with one victory in the series. The duo of Vidisha Pallamreddy and Sandra Riecken defeated Julianna Begley and Sophia Solomon 6-3.  

The Fighting Scots turned things around in singles play as they won four out of six matches, which was enough to clinch the victory. Pallamreddy got things going for Edinboro when she defeated Cameron Beer 6-0, 6-2. 

Rafaella Negrao De Almeida took care of Kendall McCluskey 6-2, 6-4. Anisha Thada won a close one over Julianna Begley 6-3, 7-5. Marina Zottele clinched the match with her victory over Kaitlyn Walch that went to a third set 0-6, 7-6, 8-6.  

Edinboro will cap off the regular season on Sunday when they host D'Youville at 1 p.m. for Senior Day
