Edinboro Pa. -- The Edinboro volleyball team will host Slippery Rock University in their first PSAC West match of the season. The match is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16. at 6 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse.
Scot's Success So Far
Edinboro has now competed in twelve nonconference matches thus far this season and holds a respectable (10-2) overall record. The Scots have established a strong identity and will look to implement it into their PSAC West competition. In Edinboro's recent match against D'youville, the Scots defeated the Saints in three sets (25-13, 25-19, 25-10). Eight of Edinboro's ten wins this season have come in three sets.
Scot's Statistics
Edinboro's offense has continued to progress after twelve matches this season. The Scots' attack has produced 497 kills at the rate of 12.1 kills per set, with an efficient (.212) hitting percentage that ranks fourth in the PSAC.
The Scot's defense has had great success sabotaging the opposing team's offensive flow so far. Edinboro up on net has produced 77 blocks, equivalent to 1.9 blocks per set. In the back the Scots have went for 636 digs at 15.5 digs per set. Overall, Edinboro ranks second in the PSAC in opponent attack percentage (.121).

-Sally Sterkel has a team-high 39 blocks this season. Natalie Pallone follows her with 29 blocks.
Slippery Rock
Slippery Rock is a member of the PSAC West and are led by head coach Laurie Lokash. The Rock comes into the match with a (4-8) overall record after their recent five-set win against IUP to open their conference schedule. The Rock is (0-4) this season on the road and are (2-3) in their last five matches. On the attack, Erica Selfridge leads the Rock with 96 kills this season. On the net Abigail Nigon has produced a team-high 44 blocks this season. When Edinboro last played Slippery Rock on Nov. 13, 2021, the Scots came away with a win in three quick sets (25-15, 25-18, 25-15).
