Indiana, Pa. – The Edinboro football team dropped a 20-10 decision to host IUP on a soggy day at George P. Miller Stadium.

Edinboro held a 10-7 lead at the half, but IUP scored on 21-yard pass from Nico Marchitelli to Quinn Zinoble with 2:40 left in the third to take a 13-10 lead. The Crimson Hawks set the final with a 19 -yard catch and run from Marchitelli to Dayjure Stewart with 10:20 left in the game.

Trailing 7-0, Edinboro was forced to punt, but Hilton Ridley muffed a punt and Killian Cooper fell on the loose ball setting the Scots up at the IUP 14. Edinboro pushed the ball to the IUP 3-yardline, but the drive stalled and Reed Martin connected on the 20-yard field goal to cut the lead to 7-3.

The Scots took the lead at the 7:13 mark of the second quarter when Matt Carlisle found Mike Watkins for a 58-yard touchdown making it 10-7. Edinboro would carry that lead into the break.

Carlisle led the offense going 15-of-28 for 208 yards and a score. He also led the rushing attack with 61 yards. Watkins was the top target for Carlisle catching seven passes for 95 yards and a score. Brodie List hauled in three passes for 72 yards.
