Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim team scored a 166-63 victory over Notre Dame College in their dual meet and home opener Friday night at McComb Fieldhouse.
The 200-medley relay team of
Leia Ross,
Emma Beggs,
Lilian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek got things started with a first-place finish in a time of 1:51.54.
Kirsten Johnson,
Madison Cordial, Cayla Dibernardo and
Liliana Delgado teamed up to take third in 2:02.28.
Cara Della Toffalo and
Naomi Polito went 1-2 in the 1000 freestyle with Della Toffalo touching the wall in 11:34.11 and Polito checking in at 12:17.57. Della Toffalo also earned a first-place finish in the 500 with a time of 5:29.40.
The Scots also picked up the top two spots in the 200 freestyle with
Lara De Carne putting up a PSAC Championship qualifying time of 1:57. 16. Hanek also came in under the PSAC cut time at 2:00.33. Edinboro took the top three spots in the 100-backstroke led by Ross with a time of 1:02.11 a PSAC qualifying mark.
Abigail Greene touched the wall in 1:04.71 and Johnson added a time of 1:06.74.
Alexis Schrecongost led the pack in the 100-breaststroke at 1:07.98 while Beggs added a second-place finish in 1:09.98. Both marks are PSAC qualifying times. Bailia Bugara finished first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:21.10 with Dilts just behind her at 2:25.17. De Carne was the top finisher in the 50 freestyle with conference qualifying mark of 24.57.
Schrecongost and Cordial took the top two spots in the 100-freestyle touching the wall in 55.97 and 57.06 respectively. She also was first in the 100-fly posting a time of 59.60 to meet the PSAC standard.
Hanek was the top finisher in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:10.98. Beggs topped the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:28.89 as well as claiming the 200 IM title in a time of 2:16.91.
The Edinboro relay team of Schrecongost, Green, De Carne and Hanek closed out the meet with a win in the 200-free relay with a time of 1:39.08
The Scots are back in action on Friday when they host Bloomsburg at 4 p.m.
