Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's soccer team scored twice in the second half to finish the 2023 season with a 3-1 victory over Seton Hill at Sox Harrison Stadium.
With the game tied 1-1,
Emily Vogel sprung
Reece Enochs on a breakaway that was finished high in middle of the net giving Edinboro a 2-1 lead in the 67
th minute.
The Scots added an insurance tally in the 72
nd minute. Off a throw in, Vogel touched a pass to
Clare Crossley who put the ball onto
Maggie Hays foot and Hays tucked the ball inside the far post.
Vogel opened the scoring in the 33
rd minute when she finished a pass from Hays with her left foot. The Scots would carry the 1-0 lead into the break.
Seton Hill leveled the game on a Corynna Rotoli goal in the 65
th minute.
Vogel tallied four points on a goal and two assists. Hays finished with a goal and a helper.
Kaylee Lauriel picked up the win in net making a pair of saves.
