Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim team dropped a 109.5-94.5 decision to visiting Bloomsburg Friday night in PSAC dual action.
The 200-medley relay team of
Izzy Hanek,
Emma Beggs, Lillian Dilts and
Lara De Carne opened the meet with a second-place swim of 1:50.54.
Hanek and Abigaile Green went 1-2 in the 50-freestyle with Hanek touching the wall in 24.81 and Greene in 25.53. Hanek picked up her second first-place swim of the night in the 100-backstroke with a time of 59.61.
The Scots also grabbed the top two spots in the 200-medley with De Carne taking first in 2:13.56 and Beggs in 2:15.54 both PSAC qualifying times. De Carne topped the podium in the 100-freestyle with a time of 54.31 and Greene also tallied a PSAC cut time in the 100-free with a time of 56.16.
Cara Della Toffalo and
Alexis Schrecongost each posted PSAC qualifying times in the 500-freestyle. Della Toffalo came in second with a time of 5:27.50 while Schrecongost tied for third in 5:27.51.
Leia Ross earned a second-place finish in the 100-breastroke with a conference cut time of 1:10.45.
The 400-free relay squad of Greene, Ross, Cayla Diberanrdo and Schrecongost finished second in a time of 3:49.03.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday with a 1 p.m. dual meet at Allegheny.
