Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's volleyball team are set for a pair of PSAC West contests Wednesday and Friday to close out the regular season.
The Games
Edinboro will host Gannon Wednesday night at 6 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse. The Scots will celebrate Senior Day prior to the match. The regular season finale is on Friday when Edinboro makes the trip to Mercyhurst for a 6 p.m. match start.
Senior Day
Prior to the Gannon match the Scots will honor six members of the team:
Bella Burrelli,
Sydnee Jones,
Erika Lindqvist,
Natalie Pallone,
Kathryn Raschilla and
Emmy Rowell.
Offensive Leaders
Pallone leads the Edinboro offense with 249 kills and a .244 hitting percentage. Burrelli ranks second with 186 kills while
Makayla Neelands adds 179.
Abigale Soboleski and
Laney Burns have split the setting duties with Soboleski notching 380 helpers while Burns adds 411.
Defensive Efforts
Carly Pry lead the defensvie efforts with 403 digs. Burrelli adds 277 digs as well as 19 blocks. Lindqvist leads the blocking effort with 77. Pallone adds 68 stuffs and
Kasey Smith chips in 67.
Scouting the Golden KnightsÂ
Gannon sits atop the PSAC West standings with a 22-3 overall mark and 13-1 record in PSAC West play. Journey Blevins leads the offensive attack with 407 kills. Hailey Koch adds 246 and Madde Blake chips in 228. Marta Roicka triggers the offense with 572 assists while Bengisu Arslan adds 420. Emma Hall is the team leader in digs and Lauren Atwell has tallied a team-best 78 blocks.
Scouting the Lakers
Mercyhurst enters teh week 4-18 overall and 2-12 in PSAC West play. Kate Hennessy leads the team with 206 kills. Andrea Zaric adds 170. Alex Mitchell triggers the offense with 509 assists. Paige Miller is the team leader in digs with 217 and Kaitlin Merphy leads the block with 48.
