Wooster, Ohio – The Edinboro women's swim team posted a third-place finish after the final day of the Wooster Invitational Saturday.
Cara Della-Toffalo got the finals started for the Scots posting a second-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle touching the wall in a time of 18:08.08.
Izzy Hanek brought home a first-place finish in the 200-yard back stroke with a time of 2:05.33.
Kirsten Johnson also posted a scoring performance with a time of 2:21.08 to grab 13
th place.
Edinboro had five scoring swims in the 100-yard freestyle led by a second-place performance from
Lara De Carne in a time of 52.61.
Abigail Greene was sixth with a time of 54.54 while
Lillian Dilts was seventh with a time of 54.73.
Liliana Delgado was 18
th in a time of 56.43 and Cayla Dibenardo finished in a time of 58.24 to take 23
rd.
Three Scots swam in the A final of the 200-yard breaststroke paced by a time of 2:25.90 from
Emma Beggs to finish second.
Leia Ross touched the wall in 2:27.16 to take fourth and Alexis Schercongost was eighth in a time of 2:30.04.
Baila Bugara turned in a scoring swim in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:19.59 good for sixth place.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Hanek, Schrecongost, Dilts and De Carne grabbed the top spot in a time of 3:33.47.
The Scots piled up 1,239 points over three days. They return to action on Friday Jan. 12 when they travel to Shippensburg.
