York, Pa. – Edinboro began the PSAC Championship's on a high note with
Paige Smith earning fifth in Edinboro's all time lists in the 200 IM.
Stephanie Sipple also joined the top-5 all time list in the 200 free from her beginning leg in the 800 free relay.
The Championships got underway with the 1000 freestyle which saw points scored by
Stephanie Sipple and
Baila Bugara. Sipple took sixth place in the event with a time of 10:32.59, Bugara took 22nd overall in a time of 11:01.09.
The 200 IM saw
Paige Smith join Edinboro's all-time top-5 with a swim of 2:08.67, taking seventh place in the event and now holds fifth all-time for the Scots.
Lara De Carne also swam a season best time in 13th at 2:10.68, adding 14 points.
Gerardo Gonzalez Ruiz and
Armando Apigna-Castellanos were in action the men's 200 IM. They placed 33rd and 36th just missing out on scoring.
Avery Zuk and
Makayla Scheu narrowly missed out on a final time in the 50 free, placing 25th and 26th respectively.
Ted Kinney earned 14th place in the 50 free for the men earning the team first points of the day in a time of 21.42.
The evening's races were topped off in the 800 free relay. The team of
Stephanie Sipple,
Paige Smith,
Avery Zuk and
Lara De Carne took fourth place.
Stephanie Sipple's opening leg of the relay saw a time of 1:54.74 which earned fifth place in Edinboro's all-time top-5 for the 200 free.
