Syracuse, Ny. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team fell to LeMoyne College 5-2, as the Fighting Scots were handed their first loss of the season. With the loss, the Edinboro men drop to (3-1) in the regular season.
Doubles
The Dolphins won the first point of the match by beating Edinboro in doubles. LeMoyne earned two wins compared to Edinboro's one. The Scot's only doubles win came from Ruben Acuna and Kaio Sacchi in their 6-2 victory over Fabian Sjokvist and Xavier Branagan. Manav Sreekumar and Thibault Dorval dropped a close battle that was decided with a tiebreaker.
Singles
With both teams having their lineups of one through six go head-to-head in singles it was LeMoyne who would win the majority and prevail. The Dolphins were able to rip off four-of-six wins in singles. Edinboro earned wins from Manav Sreekumar and Finn Unger. Sreekumar won a close match that went into an extra set, as he would eventually win 6-7, 6-1, 6-0. Unger was ahead before he won by opponent retirement.
